Who are we?
The glamorous world of cosmetics and beauty products is actually based on serious science. Companies usually recrute specialized scientists to create and test each line of products.
This is a website to introduce a project made by two students of Escola Secundária de Mem Martins in 2021 during a whole pandemic.
This project - Catley - is a biocosmetic homemade line of natural beauty products which contain natural ingredients that can biodegrade, and are not harmful for your skin, nor the environment, maintaining the skin natural pH, moisturizing the skin and improve your well being due to the fragrances and the natural aromas used.
Catley exclusively produces natural lip balms, soaps and bath bombs.
Why did we choose to
do this project?
As a team we chose to do this project to be innovative. We wanted to try and do something different than what we were used to do. Besides that this project helped us compreend more about natural alternatives, its' bennefits and difficulty that small businesses have in mass production.

With this project, we were able to dive into the world of small businesses.
We are very proud of our evolution when it comes to the development of our work (practical and searching) and we hope that this project inspires people to pursue something similar if they are interested in such.

Catley has also been involved in another project - MICRO RAINFOREST - which consisted of creating a forest in a terrarium that had high levels of humidity and warm temperatures like the Amazon forest.
This project was indeed a success and the previous group - CATARINA, SIMONE, AND SIRLEY - were able to strike the goal, represent this next statement: "One of the most destroyed and richest types of the forest." - artificially and that small ecosystem like these are very useful to recover some animals/plants and repopulate these forests.
